Tragedy for the newsXpress family

newsXpress members were saddened to hear this morning of the murder of newsXpress member Garry Angus overnight at his newsXpress Bendigo (Victoria) store.

newsXpress members and suppliers are rallying around Garry’s family with offers of support and comfort.

Garry was a regular participant in newsXpress member meetings and other activities, offering helpful comments and always ready with a laugh when we needed it.

Garry will be sadly missed.  Our collective heart goes out to his loved-ones.

Congratulations to newsXpress Southport Park for making it as a finalist in the local business awards as reported last week on the Gold Coast.

Recognition as a finalist in the franchisee section of the awards is wonderful for the newsXpress Southport Park team and they work they put into their business and into supporting the newsXpress brand in their area.

Brilliant Lovatts display at newsXpress Ballarat

The team at newsXpress Ballarat has created what we consider to be the best promotional display for the excellent range of Lovatts crossword titles.  This display makes the titles heroes in a wonderful display which uses the pencil motif to visually connect with the engagement one has with a Lovatts crossword or puzzle title.  We loved this display so much that we shared it with our team of Business Development Managers for them to show newsXpress stores as they make their visits around the country, helping newsXpress members with best practice display and management in and of their business.

The Halloween display at newsXpress Wetherill Park on the dance floor is eye-catching, easily drawing attention from shoppers as they enter the store and easily driving sales already for Halloween which is on October 31.

Packed with Halloween products from newsXpress preferred suppliers, this display at newsXpress Wetherill Park represents the journey newsXpress has led newsagents on since entering the Halloween season space in 2005.  This is how a highly successful season for us, generating excellent new traffic in newsXpress stores and driving a boost to shopping basket depth.

Terrific Tinco range display at newsXpress East Maitland

newsXpress East Maitland has created a wonderful display of products from our friends at Tinco.  nice coming on as a newsXpress preferred supplier, Tinco has helped many newsXpress members grow sales in the gift / gift packaging area.  We are seeing the tins sold as items for personal use as well as for gifts.  We are also seeing them sold as packaging for other gifts.  They have so many uses, making the Tinco range a welcome addition to newsXpress stores.  Please click on the image to see a larger version of the photo.
