Fantastic Sydney Gift Fair for newsXpress

newsXpress and newsXpress members had a fantastic Gift Fair in Sydney over the last five days thanks to the pre-planning done by the head office team. The handy fair maps, meet-ups, dinners and other connections made the fair more useful for newsXpress as did co-ordinated buying, guided buying and the other services provided by the group to enhance the member experience.

This is a massive newsXpress difference – the care and attention to detail around events like the Sydney Gift Fair – helping newsXpress members get the best possible value from attending the fair and being part of newsXpress.

A bonus from this fair was the prospective members we got to connect with. What a thrill.

The limited edition New York Comic Con Pop! Vinyls from Funko have been a hit for newsXpress Pop! Vinyl stockists. The latest limited edition products continue a trend of engagement by newsXpress for collectors and for small business newsagents in the newsXpress group.


Meeting suppliers in Hong Kong

At the Hong Kong gift fair today, newsXpress has setup meetings with suppliers to explore more product opportunities inside and outside existing supplier relationships.

Engaging with international events such as the Fair opening today has helped newsXpress and its retail network expand beyond what has been traditional in the newsagency space. It has helped us find new products as well as opportunities allied to existing products – thereby extending the margin dollars newsXpress stores make from destination products.

Already from pre fair meetings we have discovered fresh opportunities.

newsXpress training video library expands

Last week, newsagency marketing group newsXpress released another comprehensive training package to its members including an in-house produced video speaking to new training.

The video is wide ranging, covering multiple product categories and exploring new traffic opportunities across valuable demographics. It is also confidential and hidden.

newsXpress welcomed five new members last week in a continuation of the excellent membership growth in 2015.

We don’t name the members here as we have found it better to not provide our competitors with this information too early.

The latest growth is coming at a time when newsXpress members themselves are reporting good news around traffic growth, revenue growth and GP % growth.

Our goal is to help newsXpress members grow and be a local competitive force to be reckoned with. This is helped y our continuing to grow as a group.

Our belief is that you cannot grow long-term customer relationships selling cheap products like those in discount variety stores.

So big was our Toy fair buying group that we had to break into two. Suppliers closed off their stands for us. the results were stunning. newsXpress buying made the Toy fair for some suppliers. What made us laugh was the competitor following us around trying to access similar deals.
