The clear and consistent collateral from Pacific helps shoppers see and understand the opportunity and thereby consider the titles which are part of the promotion.

One Direction posters a hit at Grovedale

newsXpress Grovedale has been promoting the One Direction posters from newsXpress preferred supplier Impact as part of their pitch of 1D products in-store.

Leveraging interest generated from 1D titles from magazine publishers Pacific and ACP, the posters are a nice margin and sales bonus.

The group is set to be high-profile for some time.

The One Direction poster unit is terrific in that it takes up a small floorspace footprint.

newsXpress members are making bonus commission from the launch issue of Grand Designs Australia. Thanks to additional support from the publisher, Universal Magazines, newsXpress members were able to set supply quantity and tap into additional margin. This is in addition to delayed billing.

Grand Designs Australia is proving to be a popular title with some ordering additional stock already. We encourage not only newsXpress members but all newsagents to actively promote the title to make the most of such a high-profile product launch.

Promoting Mother’s Day at newsXpress Canterbury

newsXpress Canterbury in Victoria has been promoting Mother’s Day in their front window which faces the famous Maling Road.

There is one Mother’s Day display message facing onto the street and another display facing in-store. The photo shows the in-store facing Mother’s Day display.

Notice the use of the landscape and portrait collateral provided by newsXpress – we did this to give stores flexibility and they are embracing it.

The window display at canterbury is just part of their overall Mother’s Day pitch … a wonderful promotion in support of this vitally important retail season.

Lovers of slow cooker cooking have been waiting for this new title from ACP.

Slow Cooker 2 is OUT NOW!

The original Slow Cooker title was a runaway success for newsXpress stores – ACP has to airfreight extra stock in just for us, to satisfy newsXpress shopper demand! Will we repeat that sales success with this new title? We hope so. Slow Cooker 2 is packed with new recipes, delicious recipes with which to tempt family and friends.

newsXpress members are being tactical in placement, promoting the title in high traffic areas where it is most likely to be purchased on impulse. They are also supporting this with excellent promotional displays as shown in the photo.

newsXpress members were proactive with Slow Cooker 2 prior to publication thanks to a pre-order campaign promoted to members. the pre-order form enables newsXpress members to take orders and get payment prior to the title actually going on sale.

With supermarkets not set to get Slow Cooker 2 for weeks yet, newsXpress members are making the most of the opportunity from ACP Magazines.

The ACP cookbook range is an important part of the magazine mix in a newsXpress newsagents. Our goal is for members to carry all current titles which is usually around 25 titles of the regular format and a similar number of the smaller format titles.

Last night, newsXpress promoted our retail network as the go-to place for the new Girlfriend One Direction one shot which comes out Monday and the 2013 One Direction calendar which we provided stores with pre-order forms for last week. Our tweet was sent to 38,591 One Direction fans. Then, it was re-tweeted and tagged as a favourite by many … getting the newsXpress name and message spread far and wide.

We are the only newsagency marketing group engaging with this valuable, passionate and super friendly group of shoppers. We are proud of our innovation.

Some of these guys have grown up in really rough circumstances but Ian McAdam, my niece Cassandra and others are trying show them that life can be better. Football, aussie rules and in the future other codes, is the glue that is bringing them together and is used to encourage them to put effort into their education. As a nation we do so much for worthy causes overseas but little exposure is given to those in our own country who need help and guidance. Here is an opportunity to influence a generation of indigenous Australians and show them that life can be positive.

This month’s newsletter continues a recent trend of reminding readers of the importance of shopping locally. newsXpress is proud to support the shop local message … our stores are locally owned after-all.

This wonderful baby gift display encourages customers to purchase multiple gifts. The display tells a story and positions the business as the go-to baby gift place. This will drive word of mouth and increase shopper traffic.

The market for newborn items is growing and will continue to grow.

Just remember when you set up a display as newsXpress Canterbury have done, think about product placement.  The first thing your customer will want to buy is a card.
