Ben from newsXpress Sunbury Square got in on the act by donning the Junior MasterChef hat and apron.  This is an excellent promotion of the range throughout the store – wherever Ben goes.

The Junior MasterChef display at newsXpress Sunbury Square follows the visual merchandising guidelines published by newsXpress for this line.  In addition to sourcing excellent national brand product, newsXpress provides the vital information which helps our members leverage the opportunity to maximum value.

Watergardens cooking with Junior MasterChef

Click on the image to see a larger version of one of the displays facing out into the shopping mall. The display shows great use of props – notice the bear at the top of the display.  While the bear has no actually synergy with the products, shoppers were coming up and saying that they love the MasterChef Bears, do you sell them?  Um, yes we do – we sell the bears and the Junior MasterChef hats.  Another win for newsXpress – sourcing quality brand name produc, connecting this with existing product (the bear) and telling a compelling story.

Merry Giftmas catalogue driving excellent traffic

Created in-house by newsXpress exclusively for newsXpress members, the catalogue offers excellent deals on Christmas gifts, books and a range of decoration items.

newsXpress members are already reporting excellent sales, many placing top-up orders to satisfy continuing demand.

As the catalogue says, it has GIFTS FOR EVERYONE.  This is proving to be true based on the broad range of items which are selling.

Promoting Christmas at Armidale

Created by Rob Henderson from newsXpress, the display is designed to attract shoppers and have them look at the business in a different light.

While other shops are going for loud and price based Christmas displays, newsXpress Sunbury is showing a more entertaining and creative window display – a great show of the newsXpress difference.

Recordable storybook range on show at Redcliffe

Making good use of the Hallmark collateral to promote the unique range of products, the display sits perfectly in front of the popular card aisle.

Customising the newsXpress collateral takes a couple of minutes and can be done on just about any computer.

knox-radio.JPGWhat a perfect way to promote newsXpress Radio and a hip Christmas gift!  Anthony at newsXpress Knox came up with the great idea is playing newsXpress radio through the DJ-Bears.  Mini speakers are located in the feet of the bears.

There is a cable running from the bear which can be connected to anything from an iPod to your computer to the newsXpress Radio reception box.

Promoting the DJ-Bears in this way enables us to run them as a counter offer and show how they work.  Customers are noticing!

newsXpress stores loving Cheeki bottles

cheekibottles.JPGnewsXpress launched the range of Cheeki stainless steel water bottles months ago and what a success they have been!  newsXpress store after store is reporting excellent sales, many reordering three and four times.  The sell through is extraordinary.

newsXpress has made Cheeki a success for members with range and merchandising advice, pricing which delivers an excellent margin to newsXpress members and with vital information to help team members sell the benefits of the Cheeki product.

We have deliberately not talked much about the extraordinary Cheeki bottle success enjoyed by newsXpress members as we know people visit here to copy our success stories.

What a great newsXpress story!  Kudos for newsXpress corporately, and our merchandise team in particular, in delivering the Cheeki initiative and excellent profit for members from a product line which was unexpected for a traditional newsagency business.

Yes, the Cheeki bottle story is the newsXpress difference in action.

Driving Doggy Bank sales

doggybank-maryb.JPGnewsXpress Maryborough (VIC) is driving great sales of the Doggy Bank which is part of our Christmas catalogue offer. Their approach is simple.  They have placed the Doggy Bank stock in a dump bin in front of the counter with one Doggy Bank out on show and ready for play.  This is the best approach and is the reason newsXpress stores are reporting sell outs and are ordering extra stock.  What a great story! newsXpress Terrigal looking good after fire

terrigal-reopening.jpgnewsXpress Terrigal is open for business in temporary accommodation following a fire which destroyed their premises.  Thanks to the hard work of owners Andrew and Cathy, support from friends, family, local businesses and the newsXpress Business Development Managers responsible for this store, newsXpress Terrigal is looking terrific.  A re-opening is being held this weekend to refresh interest in the store, the home for the business for the next twelve months.

Teacher gifts drive sales at Bairnsdale

barirndale-teacher.jpgThe team newsXpress Bairnsdale has put together a good display promoting teacher and graduation gifts to customers shopping in the store.  This is an excellent seasonal opportunity, especially in rural and regional locations. The cross over between gifts and greeting cards makes the promotion ideal for a newsagency.  The key is promotion in a good high traffic location, as they have created at newsXpress Bairnsdale.

Hallmark Christmas ornaments at hit at Knox

knox-c-decks.JPGnewsXpress Knox is generating good sales with the Hallmark Christmas ornaments.  The display behind the counter is proving very effective for attracting shopper attention and driving impulse purchases.

The Knox team has also located a bold display of the Hallmark ornaments at the front of the store facing into the shopping mall.

The ornaments are an excellent point of difference since they are only available from a limited number of locations.

Doggy Bank sells out for Christmas

doggybank.jpgThe Doggy Bank sourced by newsXpress for our Christmas offer has sold out according to our supplier.  We found out when one of our stores wanted to order extra stock having sold out of their allocation.  Talk about a great success story!  Stores promoting the Doggy Bank at the counter in an uncluttered location with one out of the box for customers to play with are reporting the best results.

UPDATE: Our supplier has advised that new stock arrives next week.
