ACP Magazines and newsXpress offered members a valuable prize pack as a giveaway to a lucky UFC magazine customer as part of the launch strategy for the new title through our group.

Packed with UFC merchandise, the pack was offered across the newsXpress network last week to members.  The prize packs will be in store in the next day or two to help promote sales of the title.

Only a limited supply of prize packs was available.  Proactive newsXpress members jumped on the opportunity to show off their point of difference.

Product based newsXpress meeting in Melbourne

nxpmtg-vic.JPGOur newsXpress member’s Meeting in Melbourne on Thursday this week we were presented with an excellent in-depth workshop on making money in the extended party category. The workshop was run by Sanbrook Brands, a newsXpress preferred supplier and the dominant supplier in Australia in this space. The workshop was followed by a factory tour, further enhancing the product knowledge of newsXpress members.

The meeting also included an excellent presentation from newsXpress National Merchandise Manager Rob Henderson on strategic visual merchandising (see photo).  This delivered exclusive to newsXpress content on how to take preferred supplier product and newsXpress collateral and create compelling and basked building product displays.

Rich content like that presented in Melbourne two days ago demonstrates the total business value offered by newsXpress.

newsXpress newsagents meet in Brisbane

Shopping at newsXpress delivers more rewards than Woolworths and Coles

magclubcard.jpgA  Current Affair on the nine network last night ran a story about loyalty programs by major retailers.  The story included the fact that a survey last year by consumer group Choice found that to get a $50 gift card, you’d need to spend $15,700 at Coles, $10,969 at Woolworths and $5,000 at Franklins.  These numbers are shocking and demonstrate that the major supermarkets are not serious about delivering shopper rewards.

Meeting at Sydney Gift Fair

newsXpress members, preferred suppliers and newsXpress management will meet up on Monday early evening in Sydney for drinks as part of our Sydney Gift Fair and Home & Giving Fair support.  This newsXpress exclusive event provides all newsXpress stakeholders to share Gift fair experiences and insights and to socialise on the second last day of the important event.

This annual drinks occasion is a popular time for comparing notes and ideas. It helps make the last day more valuable.

Terrific Queensland newsXpress Member’s Meeting

There were formal high–value presentations, supplier demonstrations and some delicious food.  Our next meeting is in Melbourne on Thursday this week.

New Newsagent Training a Breeze with newsXpress

People buying or opening their first newsagency are required to undertake approved Retail Certificate IV training in order to access direct supply of magazines.  This requirement has been in place since 2004.

newsXpress newsagents are not required to undertake this training.  This decision was made by suppliers once they saw the calibre of the on-going training delivered by newsXpress in-store, at training events and through newsXpress supportive collateral which is available and promoted to all newsXpress members.

The newsXpress difference is on show here again, helping newsXpress members save time and money.  Presenting them with valuable opportunities not available to all other newsagents.
