Magazine Impulse Units Drive Sales at Ascot Vale

mags-ascot.JPGnewsXpress Ascot Vale is driving impulse purchases of magazines with the placement of impulse units from ACP in the main magazine aisle – as shown in the photo.

This approach breaks up the view down the magazine aisle and creates new feature display opportunities.

Change is important in today’s magazine marketplace and that is where these displays play an important role – they can be easily changed to support new titles and promote different product categories. Well done to the team at newsXpress Ascot Vale for this initiative.

Tour de France Promotion at newsXpress Bairnsdale

magtdf.JPGnewsXpress Bairnsdale ran an excellent promotion for the Tour de France guide.  Every shopper entering the store could easily see the display.  It created a connection between the business and the great event … became a good talking point.

Outside of sales of the Tour de France program sales there is the benefit the excitement and change that the display brings to the business.  This is beneficial outside the magazine department as it reinforces the relevance of the business.

At newsXpress stores across Australia we are enjoying excellent results from magazine sales thanks to our creative engagement with the category.  This success generates incremental success in other retail departments.

Magazine Club Card Drives Magazine Sales

magclubcard.jpgThe newsXpress Magazine Club Card is a key factor in the good sales results for magazines which are being reported by newsXpress members.  While the broader newsagency channel struggles with challenging magazine sales results, newsXpress members are enjoying break out results, performing better than your average newsagency.  By offering genuine rewards in return for genuine loyalty, the newsXpress magazine club card encourages shopper behaviour which is valuable for newsXpress members and appreciated by their customers.

This is another newsXpress point of difference.  It is part of our broader magazine growth strategy which sets newsXpress apart operationally and commercially from other newsagencies.

Driving customer traffic for magazines remains important for newsagents, indeed, mission critical.  Currently, only one newsagency marketing group has a cohesive approach to magazines and that is newsXpress.  The Magazine Club Card is just part of the bigger picture for us and our members.

Magazine display of the week: Port Lincoln

mag-ptlincoln.JPGCongratulations to newsXpress Port Lincoln in South Australia for this excellent magazine display promoting the Australian Women’s Weekly.  It’s our Magazine Display of the Week.  A well deserved title.

We like the display because it draws attention to AWW in the usual location for the title and leverages the traffic from this display with other titles displayed next to AWW.  An efficient display and a display which gives off energy … important in driving customer engagement.

Congratulations to everyone involved in creating this display.

Magazine Display of the Week: newsXpress Riverlink

riverlink-health.JPGThis display promoting Women’s Weekly Health from ACP magazines in our magazine Display of the Week. It is in an excellent, high traffic, location and it is attention grabbing. The value proposition is clear. Shopping from the display is easy.

We like the display for these reasons and that it presents the title in a professional way which shoppers are unlikely to encounter in supermarkets or other outlets … as well as many newsagencies.

Well done to all at newsXpress Riverlink for putting this display together.

Magazing Display of the Week: newsXpress Upper Coomera

uppercoomera-mags.jpgCongratulations to newsXpress Upper Coomera for this excellent display promoting the Ferrari part series.  While the photo is a few weeks old, we considered the display well worth the attention of a Magazine Display of the Week feature here at our newsXpress blog.  Well done to everyonee for creating this well located and visually engaging display.

Magazing Display of the Week: newsXpress Wetherill Park

wetheril-mag.jpgCongratulations to newsXpress Wetherill Park for such a terrific magazine display promoting the latest issue of Good Health magazine.

This bold display is excellent as a display.  What makes it even beetter is its location – it is at the entrance to the main magazine aisle in the newsagency and will therefore be passed by the majority of shoppers.

Another benefit is that the display includes stock which can be selected right then.

If you check the photo you can see that the newsXpress Wetherill Park team is using the side of a drinks fridge to host this display … very clever.

Well done to everyone involved in creating this display.

Magazine Focus at newsXpress Manly West

manlywest-mags.jpgLike so many newsXpress stores, newsXpress Manly West in Queensland takes magazines seriously, offering an excellent range of titles in a professional layout. As the photo shows, the magazine department is appealing on the eye and easy to shop.  Having the red newsXpress branding at the end of the aisle helps drive customer focus.

newsXpress has a well developed and considered magazine strategy which respects the importance of magazines in driving traffic for newsXpress stores and newsagencies more generally.  While we acknowledge that print has its challenges, we also see opportunities with the medium … by delivering the newsXpress point of difference around range, service and value.

Promoting the newsXpress Magazine Club Card

mag-wash.JPGnewsXpress Knox recently created a front of store magazine display which visually connected with the newsXpress Magazine Club Card collateral.

Both the newsXpress Magazine Club Card poster collateral and the display used the washing line look for promoting magazines.

The washing line motif can also be used deeper in-store, connecting the front of store display with the broader magazine department itself.   The washing like is good as it shows off a variety of titles – the range here as in so many newsXpress newsagencies is about much more than just the top selling weekly titles.

The Magazine Club Card is an excellent point of difference for newsXpress stores.  Buying magazines from newsXpress helps shoppers save money.

Loving magazines in Sunbury

spitfiremagazine.JPGnewsXpress Sunbury Square is showing the people of Sunbury a wonderful range of special interest titles through their magazine of the Week promotion.  They are using this counter campaign to show off range.  Recently, they promoted Spitfire 75 magazine as their Magazine of the Week.  This made a lot of sense given their proximity to Melbourne’s Tullamarine airport and the numbber of flying enthusiasts who shop with them.  In the photo is Rita from newsXpress Sunbury Square, proudly smiling at the counter of their store.
