We have been fortunate to mix with several newsXpress members over recent weeks at industry functions and trade shows. It has been a thrill to meet up with happy, positive and proactive newsXpress members at these events.

We are often greeted with news of a success story with a newsXpress promotion or some other good news. It’s a thrill to hear these and to see the joy of success showing on their faces.

With so much doom and gloom being reported about retail in the media at the moment, newsXpress is happy to be providing good news story opportunities.

newsXpress Glendale Promotes Newcastle, the Missing Years

Connecting with local stories like this is a key part of the newsXpress approach to marketing.  Congratulations to Phil Banks and the newsXpress Glendale team for representing newsXpress with such a wonderful local success story.

newsXpress Members Sign Up For New HOT ink! Campaign

inksale.JPGnewsXpress members have signed up for a new HOT ink! ink and toner campaign which is set to kick off in a few weeks.  This latest campaign will continue to excellent success of HOT ink! in driving new traffic for newsXpress members by promoting brand name ink at highly competitive prices.  We know from our years of success with ink that stores which run tis campaign can easily attract new shoppers, many of whom stick to the business not only for ink but also for other products available from newsXpress.

Promoting Darren Lockyer one-shot

This display is excellent support from newsXpress Gumdale for an important one-shot in Queensland.

newsXpress members promote magazines because they see excellent results from this category – as a traffic driver and as a basket builder.  The magazine category is important to our businesses. As a group we seize opportunities to new title launches, one-shots and other special promotions … usually in a way which is exciting and enticing, driving excellent sales as a result.

Underscoring our promotional work is our newsXpress Magazine Club Card, the oldest and most successful shopper loyalty program in the newsagency channel.

Art Sale in Bairnsdale

The excellent range is supported with professional price tickets and table skirting, creating a strong message for shoppers and riving good sales as a result. Running regular art sales strengthens the position of newsXpress Bairnsdale in the art space in the Bairnsdale region and this is sure to result in new traffic being attracted to the business.

This smart move gave newsXpress stores a point of difference against other newsagencies and retail outlets. It meant they could capture a sale and take payment before the one-shot hit the shelves.

This is a tactic newsXpress has used to great effect in the past. It’s a perfect example of the newsXpress difference in the magazine space, a difference which is promoted with pride throughout our businesses.

Lovatts Crosswords at newsXpress Sunbury Square

Introducing a column of Lovatts titles in with weekly titles is a key part of the newsXpress / Lovatts recommended approach to driving incremental sales for the titles.

This initiative is part of the broader newsXpress magazine growth initiative.  newsXpress stores love the magazine category in part because of initiatives like this which drive sales as well as shopper efficiency.

newsXpress Top Ryde City Finds Room for Lovatts Titles

This additional space allocation for Lovatts titles is sure to drive sales based on the experiences already seen by Lovatts and newsXpress.

While it can be a challenge in some locations to find extra pockets in the women’s magazine section, the work is soon justified once the sales numbers are in and growth is seen to have been achieved.

In finding the space in the photo, newsXpress Top Ryde City is following the recommended approach by Lovatts and newsXpress.
