State of Origin Promotion at Eli Waters

newsXpress Winners in Melbourne

melwinners.JPGnewsXpress Inverloch and newsXpress Melton won $500 tax-free cash each as part of the trade display which accompanies the Melbourne on-day conference yesterday.  Walking away with the cash we had two very happy members.  the giveaway added a bit of extra fun to the day and reinforced the support which preferred suppliers provide to newsXpress and its members.

Kombi Van display in a newsagency?

Busy Brisbane One-Day Mini Conference

Promoting The Sticker Family on the Counter

The newsXpress Knox team has stories of people buying a card or magazine making an impulse decision to get some My Family stickers on impulse when they see the counter mat.  These stickers are an excellent basket builder.

Facebook innovation

The newsXpress Facebook page has been undergoing a facelift (pun intended) to make better use of this social platform.  Details of this innovation and plans for new campaigns around social medial will be presented at our one-day conferences starting next week in Brisbane.

While our Facebook is the most innovative for newsagency marketing groups already, it is set to head into new territory thanks to excellent work being done behind the scenes.

Promoting the My Family Stickers at Woden

This newsXpress Riverlink Mother’s Day gift selection coupled with the wonderful Mother’s Day cards and gifts displays in store are helping drive sales for the season.

The Riverlink shopping centre in was affected by the Queensland floods at the start of this year.  Retail is still building following the devastation wreaked by the floods not only here bit right across the state.

The range of packaged gifts is ideal for time-poor newsagents, wrapped and ready to give as a gift.  This is a wonderful idea and makes for an appealing and attractive display.

Mother’s Day 2011 is very close and good retailers, like newsXpress Harbourtown, are making the most of these few days in the run down to the big day this coming Sunday.

The photo shows one of the Mother’s Day displays created by Rene.  Making smart use of a column, Renee has beautifully positioned a selection of Mother’s Day gifts.  Renee’s selection of the background colour is genius as it draws attention to the display but maintains the products as the hero.

Of course, the proof of any visual merchandising has to be in the sales result. This is something which Renee tracks, learning from which displays work and which could have done better.  This commitment to tracking results is essential in retail.
