Stunning slow cooker presentation at newsXpress Grovedale
Well done to the newsXpress Grovedale team for their amazing display promoting the ACP Slow Cooker 2 cookbook. One day last week the display was taken to new heights with a chef in for the day cooking a delicious meal.
Complete with crystal stemware, red wine, flowers, real fine china crockery, silver cutlery and the finest of irish linen, the in-store event created a wonderful buzz. The Slow Cooker 2 recipe filled newsXpress Grovedale with delicious smells.
newsXpress to attend Hallmark Gold Crown Summit in Las Vegas
A contingent of newsXpress members and staff will be the only Australian retail representatives to attend and participate in the Hallmark Gold Crown Summit at the Bellagio hotel in Las Vegas next month.
Attending the Summit will provide newsXpress representatives with exclusive and wonderful learning opportunities as well and valuable networking opportunities with other retailers and key people within the Hallmark organisation.
The conference will be preceded by a look at retail around Las Vegas with colleagues from Hallmark UK stores. The last day in Vegas will be a newsXpress only day looking at some more unique retail situations in the city and surrounds.

Promoting Slow Cooker 2 as a gift
newsXpress Knox City in Victoria had success promoting Slow Cooker 2 as a Month’s Day gift with this display at the main sales counter and a promotion at the front of the store pointing into the shopping mall.
The creative team at Knox showed shoppers that this title was an ideal gift for mum this Mother’s Day. It worked especially well for last minute shoppers thanks to the sales counter placement in-store.
Slow Cooker 2 has come out at the right time with Winter around the corner and slow cooker season now cranking into action. newsXpress stores are reporting excellent sales as a result of a broad range of in-store activity.
Joining the Franchise Council of Australia
newsXpress has joined the Franchise Council of Australia, the peak body of franchise organisations in the country. Through this membership, newsXpress and its members will be able to tap into a vast knowledge base. newsXpress will also get to network with successful franchisors and discuss opportunities and learn from the experiences of others.
Joining the FCA is part of a series of measures taken by newsXpress as it structures itself for the next phase of our business development. 2012 has already been a busy year in this regard with a new operational structure, new employees, new member services, new members and new supplier deals.
The growth being achieved by the newsagency marketing and management group is delivering excellent commercial rewards as assessed by newsXpress members and newsXpress suppliers.

newsXpress has announced another EXCLUSIVE in-store training session for employees of newsXpress member businesses.
This session, later this month on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland will deliver training on visual merchandising and magazine management.
newsXpress members will send employees for the free training which will be delivered in a newsXpress member location. This is the real value of the training – delivering it to the people who directly work in these areas of newsXpress businesses.
The three hour training sessions in magazine management and visual merchandising will deliver skills which enable newsXpress store employees to better serve the businesses in which they work as well as build their personal portfolio of skills. It is practical and valuable training showing off the newsXpress difference.
This training is a new service developed and delivered by newsXpress this year at no cost to newsXpress employees.

newsXpress Cooma made excellent use of the collateral provided for Mother’s Day 2012. We feel that their embrace of the season to make it the clear and dominant message throughout the store represents a good example of best practice use of the material.
In providing landscape and portrait posters, newsXpress presented members with collateral to suite a range of occasions. As the photo shows, this part of newsXpress Cooma made good use of the portrait posters down each aide of the newsagency in Cooma.
