Easter at The Gap, QLD

The display at The Gap is backed by a good range of Easter cards – directly behind the display of Easter treats and gifts.  This placement creates a terrific zone of Easter shopping and helps draw more attention to the overall offer.

Easter Eggs on the Dance Floor at Leongatha

In addition to a wonderful range of eggs for Easter, newsXpress members were last year offered an excellent range of gift and celebration items themed for Easter.

Easter Eggs at Gladstone Park

easter-gladstone.JPGnewsXpress Gladstone Park has Easter on display with this promotion of gifts and Easter Eggs from Ernest Hillier.  In a high traffic location on the dance floor, the Easter display is designed to grab impulse business – leveraging good traffic to the business for stationery, magazines and greeting cards.  The Ernest Hillier range caters to a broad cross-section of the community from young to old.  Their packaging stands out and makes any Easter display look fun and tempting.

One of Australia’s oldest paperboys retires

robbie-mcgregor.JPGnewsXpress Pakenham featured in a double page spread in the Pakenham-Berwick Gazette covering the 70th birthday and retirement announcement of Robbie McGregor, one of Australia’s oldest paperboys.  After 55 years delivering papers for the same newsagency, Robbie has decided to take it easy, still working for the business but no longer delivering newspapers.  Speaking at a party of more that 200 of Robbie’s friends, Rowan Higgon from newsXpress Pakenham thanked Robbie for his service and gave him a gold watch.

The Sticker Family at Cooma

The Sticker Family has now been embraced by two thirds of newsXpress stores across the country, making it another newsXpress preferred supplier success story.

The Cooma experience is a good example of the wonderful word of mouth around The Sticker Family product.  Happy customers tell their friends who seek out newsXpress Cooma for stickers for their family.

newsXpress understood this opportunity when it first embraced The Sticker Family last year.

newsXpress Gatton promoting Valentine’s Day

Showing a good range of gifts, the window is designed to get customers shopping this Valentine’s Day. The area surrounding the newsXpress Gatton store was severely hit in the recent floods in Queensland with many customers affected.the store is responding to this by promoting seasons like valentine’s Day on a business as usual approach.

Massive Back to School Outpost at newsXpress Roselands

Well done!

newsXpress Southport Park promotes Australia Day

southportpark-aday2.jpgnewsXpress Southport Park, like many newsXpress stores, was busy promoting Australia day in the lead up to the big day earlier this week.  The promotion included a table of items with while Southport Park customers could help celebrate the day.  newsXpress provides access to this and other seasonal promotional material through a supportive preferred suppliers.

Promoting Australia Day at newsXpress Glendale

The newsXpress National Merchandise Team provided newsXpress members with access to an excellent array of Australia Day collateral last year from newsXpress preferred suppliers.

This Australia Day promotion at newsXpress Glendale will feed in very nicely to the promotions which will be run by newspapers for the national day.

Back to School at newsXpress Castle Towers

castletowers-bts.jpgnewsXpress Castle Towers is running a big and bold outpost for Back to School 2011.  Offering an excellent range of products and backed by friendly and knowledgeable service, this outpost is great for the business and a wonderful promotion of the newsXpress brand.

With an excellent range of Back to School product for students of all years for various schools and colleges around the Castle Towers Shopping Centre.  The store also does bagged year-level packages for students of one local school.

The newsXpress Castle Towers outpost is a testament to excellent work from the entire team in the business.

newsXpress Singleton Heights promotes Back to School

Back to School is different between newsagencies.  Some stores offer packs, as they are doing at newsXpress Singleton Heights, others offer a generic yet broad range which competed with the majors while others offer supplementary products of products not commonly part of the BTS offer in majors – like the Crocodile Creek range.

newsXpress supports members engaging with back to School in the way which is most appropriate for their local community.  We will and do support our members in this endeavor in any way possible.

The poster being used at newsXpress Singleton Heights is, in our view, a great example of best practice promotion of a localised Back to School offer.   Well done to everyone involved.

Offering a broad selection of school supplies on compelling displays and using professional marketing collateral – the Back to School offer at Wetherill Park is sure to be a hit this year.

Located in the Orange City Shopping Centre, newsXpress Orange is the go-to place for Back to School supplies this year in Orange, NSW.  Their broad range of Back to School product and excellent visual merchandising displays show the GNS / newsXpress relationship working.

newsXpress supplements the GNS Back to School range with a selection of adjunct products with which newsXpress members can extend the appeal of Back to School.
