Shopping at newsXpress better value than David Jones this Christmas

price-tags.JPGThis Doggy Bank has been a hit this Christmas for newsXpress stores.  Our catalogue price is $29.95.  This provides our stores with a good margin.  Our national pricing decision has also resulted in excellent sales and stores reordering stock.

The David Jones price for the same item is $39.95.  A check with their flagship Sydney store yesterday indicated that it has not been selling all that well.

The newsXpress pricing approach and our external and in-store marketing have combined to make this product a hit.

Margin percentage is great … for dreams.  Margin dollars are what matter … money in the bank.

While most newsagents only have the cookbook, newsXpress stores have access to a broader range of the product and will bank more from Junior MasterChef brand activity as a result.  Yes, another example of the newsXpress difference in action.

newsXpress Riverlink Christmas window

riverlink2.jpgnewsXpress Riverlink engaged expert visual merchandising services through newsXpress to create a range of displays promoting the newsXpress cjristmas range.

This window display is drawing excellent interest as Belinda Williams (owner of newsXpress Riverlink) explains: the comments we have had have been outstanding. One store in the centre asked which Visual Merchandising Company did we use as they would like to get them to do their window.

The Riverlink Centre Manager and Operations Manager both personally came in store said they are normally happy with our window displays during the year, but this outshines everything they have every seen, and to continue build great displays like the current one.

Also I have lost count but roughly 6 reps from other company’s have commented on it and in store the staff are getting at least 10 comments a day from customers on how good it looks or that they want to buy product that is in the window – which incidentally is from the Merry Giftmas catalogue and majority of this product is on tables in front of store.

This is a terrific outcome for the newsXpress Riverlink team, for newsXpress suppliers and for newsXpress itself.  Congratulations to everyone involved.
