Last night, newsXpress promoted our retail network as the go-to place for the new Girlfriend One Direction one shot which comes out Monday and the 2013 One Direction calendar which we provided stores with pre-order forms for last week. Our tweet was sent to 38,591 One Direction fans. Then, it was re-tweeted and tagged as a favourite by many … getting the newsXpress name and message spread far and wide.

We are the only newsagency marketing group engaging with this valuable, passionate and super friendly group of shoppers. We are proud of our innovation.

My Family stickers continue to drive traffic and incremental sales

New positions help boost newsXpress infrastructure

Newsagency marketing group newsXpress has announced details of two new staff members joining the team promoting and managing newsXpress.  Enhancing the skillset of the group and the resources delivering results for newsXpress members, the two new team members make newsXpress more valuable not only for our members but also more valuable for our supplier partners.

The two new roles were created in response to the expansion of the group and the services it offers newsagency members.

My Family sticker success rolls on for newsXpress stores

newsXpress members continue to enjoy excellent sales success with the My family stickers from The Sticker Family.  The photo shows a family making their purchase selections at one of our member stores just a couple of days ago.  Parents, grandparents and extended families are identifying their family units with the fun stickers on the rear windows of cars, windows at home and on fridges with the wonderful range of fridge magnets.

Key to the success of the My Family stickers is the placement of the pull up banner at the front of the newsagency. Every day it draws shoppers to the business and they purchase not only My Family stickers but also other items in-store.

newsXpress conference spots filling fast

The newsXpress national conference next month is set to have more newsagents in attendance than any other newsagent conference in the last year except for the Connections conference in Sydney last year.  We have now passed 150 newsagent representatives booked.  This does not include suppliers.    This will be a wonderful and valuable business-building event, one which is sure to provide excellent ideas for business growth in 2012.

A competitor of newsXpress has again spammed members by sending unsolicited emails after we issued a cease and desist notice. This communication reaches spam regulation in Australia and speaks to their disregard for respect of the individuals they have attacked and the spam laws.

While it is flattering that we so desperately want to connect with our members, we are disappointed that they have abused email in this way.

Promoting Back to School in the newspaper

newsXpress Wetherill Park has been promoting Back to School in the local newspaper with this advertisement promoting a range of products including exclusive to newsXpress Maped product.

This is an excellent advertisement connecting with brand and value – two key points of difference promoted by newsXpress through its preferred supplier relationships.

Local advertising like this is vital to the success of any business. We are thrilled to see newsXpress Wetherill Park engaging in this way.

Promoting My Family stickers and magnets

Since their launch last year, the My Family stickers range of sticker family magnets range has been popular in newsXpress stores. Promoted exclusively through our retail group, the My Family magnets are a wonderful and loved extension to the My family sticker range.

newsXpress members are promoting the magnets with the stickers as well as in other locations in-store.  The magnets can be used on a fridge, in a workshop, at work and other pl,aces around the home to connect the family unit un a fun and creative way.

Promoting Virgin Mobile acquisition at newsXpress Watergardens

newsXpress Watergardens is promoting the acquisition of new Virgin Mobile accounts with this counter placement of a display unit with handsets and SIM packs.

This Virgin Mobile promotion is being run right across newsXpress newsagencies as part of a national and unifying promotion. It’s been organised with the active support of our friends at Jenlist.

newsXpress stores are lucky to have such a good value Virgin Mobile deal with which to promote the value proposition of shopping at newsXpress. It’s another differentiating factor for us.
