Three new stationery offers for newsagents

newsXpress will be introducing three new stationery seasons for newsXpress newsagents next year.  These details of these secret campaigns will be announced confidentially to members closer to action time.  Our research has identified three lucrative opportunities which will give our members exclusive and valuable revenue opportunities.

Early back to school pitch

nx_bts_early.JPGnewsXpress has provided members wanting to make an early Back To School pitch with marketing collateral featuring excellent deals.  The catalogues, delivered by Salmat, also feature our Nintendo Wii competition.  While many newsagents prefer to focus on Christmas this time of the year, we recognise that Back To School specialists are busy promoting their offers to schools which like to get orders completed prior to the end of the current year.

newsXpress, through its Back To School campaign and support, has been able to get some members into the opportunity for the first time.

Sourcing low cost China product

Smart newsagents balance their respected brand offers with timely special value dealsnewsXpress has announced a new supplier relationship this week which makes selected China product available to members on good terms.  This will enable our members to supplement their existing brand strategy with special offers and through this build a healthier shopping basket.

newsXpress is constantly looking for opportunities for members in a variety of situations and product categories.  Solutions like the China product offer announced this week are not mandatory on members.

Back to school popular

nxbts.jpgThe Back To School offer put together by the newsXpress merchandise department has surpassed all sales expectations. Our members have embraced the offer because of the quality brand name product, excellent prices and other aspects of our strategy which we are not about to share in this public place.

What is most pleasing is the uptake from newsXpress members who would not usually make a big Back To School commitment for local reasons. They have embraced our offer because we have pitched a range of product which is relevant to their circumstances.

The newsXpress Back To School range and the supporting national marketing and advertising campaigns will drive new customers to our shops and improve sales efficiency from existing customers. This is a key part of the newsXpress mission for its members.

Stationery is more than buying

pbar.JPGBuying stationery at the right price is important.  How you manage the product in-store is equally important.  newsXpress recognises the importance of store layout and offers a plan a gram service to its members.  Drawing in industry expert advice, we are helping newsXpress members develop new in-store plans around stationery which drive sales.  Product adjacencies, brand promotion and retail theatre are all part of what our experts bring to the table in relaying stationery.

Our intellectual property around our approach to stationery is exclusive.  It is another reason why we see newsXpress members embracing the model perform so well in the stationery department.

At our Annual Conference on the Gold Coast later this month we will share some insights into our approach on stationery which will further propel newsXpress newsagents to greater success.

Visual merchandising for newsagents

pw_dopublea.jpgHaving the right product on the shop floor is important. Landing it there for a good price is another. What you do with this product once it gets there is even more important. Too often in newsagencies we see opportunities lost because of poor in-store displays. This is a topic which will receive attention at the newsXpress conference on the Gold Coast next month. We have an expert in the visual merchandising field presenting at the conference. We also have members showing off their best displays and network with colleague newsagents, discussing what works in their business and what does not.

At newsXpress we are committed to helping our members from the back of the shop right through to the front. There is where the newsXpress offer is unique. We take a whole of business approach and bring energy and excitement into play to achieve the results many newsagents miss even though they may do some good buying.
