newsXpress Whittlesea is promoting Christmas throughout both retail outlets operated by the business, promoting not only the newsXpress Christmas catalogue range but also other Christmas gifts, trinkets and decoration items.  They also have this Christmas area inside the business, a corner of all sorts of Christmas items. The range is diverse and the offer appealing … based on excellent sales.

newsXpress Mortdale has been promoting the newsXpress Christmas catalogue range on a table on the dance floor in-store.  Featuring products from the catalogue with easy to read price tags and in an accessible location has proved to be the key with the Christmas catalogue.  With many stores reporting sell-outs, our national merchandise team has good learnings on how to display and where to make the most of the opportunity and these are shared with newsXpress members.  As we get closer to Christmas, good newsXpress members are adjusting displays to make the most of last-minute shopping opportunities.

newsXpress Pakenham has a terrific display in their window featuring Christmas products.

This display attracts Main Street Pakenham shoppers and lets them know that newsXpress Pakenham has an excellent range of Christmas cards and gifts … without blocking access to a view of the rest of the busy newsagency.

From Christmas cards to wrap to gifts, Christmas 2011 has been terrific so far right across newsXpress stores.

As we are seeing in many newsXpress locations, Christmas trade is brisk!

Among the quirkier items on our Christmas catalogue this year are the Cadbury branded tea pot and mug.  Our merchandise team selected these items as cadbury is the best known brand of chocolate in the world and there are plenty of cadbury livers out there.  The tea pot and mug make perfect gifts for chocolate lovers.  Unique.  Quirky.  Fun.

We are thrilled to have these items in the newsXpress Christmas catalogue mix.  They show off a terrific point of difference and they are selling!

These social media themed magnets, Social Talk, are another point of difference in the newsXpress Christmas catalogue.  Connecting with people of all ages, they are a great Kris Kringle gift as well as a stocking stuffer for a family member.  we had such success with similar products last year that we had to give these a go this year.  early reports from newsXpress stores are that they are working a treat – especially when displayed with the Christmas catalogue range.

newsXpress members are reporting good sales of the Christmas Lolita glasses.  Thankfully our members are able to order extra product.  One member has placed a third order and is set to move more than 60 of the glasses this Christmas.

Supported in our Christmas catalogue and with professionally produced price tags, the Lolita glasses are a good-looking and eye-catching part opt any christmas display in newsXpress stores across Australia.

The products we sourced as part of our Christmas Catalogue from The Pudding Lady have been working a treat in newsXpress stores across Australia.  Presenting a terrific point of difference over the usual Christmas fare in newsagency businesses, these premium gourmet food items show newsXpress stores as genuinely having a broader range of Christmas gifts … attracting purchases which would have gone elsewhere.

newsXpress Noosaville is promoting the newsXpress Christmas catalogue range with this display on the dance floor.  The display features the hero products and makes excellent use of the newsXpress professional price tickets – connecting the products on the shop floor with our TV campaign as well as with our catalogue campaign promoted directly into nearby homes.

The exclusive to newsXpress photo Christmas card, in a pack of six, is proving to be popular for shoppers leading up to Christmas.  It is a perfect gift to send to someone when you are not planning on sending a gift.  The photo can bring warm memories and they can be a terrific gift in many situations.

Christmas deals are on show at newsXpress Beechworth.  Featuring gifts from the newsXpress Christmas catalogue and sourced from our suite of newsXpress preferred suppliers, this display is attracting Beechworth shoppers to the business for their Christmas shopping.  The Beechworth team has created something appealing and attractive around the product mix … better than products placed on a table.

newsXpress Umina is promoting the newsXpress Christmas catalogue items on the dance floor, in a high traffic location in store.

Showing off the broad range of gift ideas and opportunities from the newsXpress Christmas catalogue, the table is brimming … offering shopping value for buyers for a range of ages.

It’s great to see the newsXpress price tickets in use – showing the prices available in an easy to read form.

newsXpress Wollongbar, located in northern New South Wales, has been promoting Christmas throughout the store using newsXpress collateral as well as in key traffic locations with displays of Christmas gifts and cards from newsXpress preferred suppliers.

newsXpress Wollongbar shoppers are greeted not only with an excellent range of products but also with excellent customer and personal service, making shopping a treat for locals as well as travellers who stop by on the way through.

newsXpress Armidale has been promoting Christmas, including newsXpress Christmas lines, in the window of their newsagency.

The display is terrific not only because it featured products professionals and in a good location but also because it does this without blocking visual access to the inside of the newsagency.

Christmas 2012 is working a treat right across newsXpress with stores scrambling for more stock of many of the lines – proving the value of choices made at the store level as well as by the newsXpress merchandise team.

In addition to the Christmas catalogue products promoted by newsXpress, newsXpress members source their own Christmas products from newsXpress preferred suppliers and sometimes from other suppliers as required to serve their specific needs.

newsXpress Ascot Vale is offering an excellent range of Christmas products, just some of which can be seen in this photo.

As is often covered at newsXpress member meetings, creating retail theatre like has been done here at newsXpress Ascot Value is important in driving shop pen interaction and, ultimately, sales.  Just having products on the shelves or tables is not enough.  They have to feel the season so that they can engage with the season.
